What is Autoship?
Autoship ships your pet's medication on a recurring schedule, so you don't have to place a new order each time. Autoship orders get a 5% discount on eligible medications.
Autoship is currently available for select medications prescribed through VetsterRx. Short-course and acute medications aren't eligible.
Change how often you get shipments
Log in to your Vetster account.
Go to Prescriptions (or the Pharmacy tab on the mobile app) and select Manage Autoship.
Find the medication you want to update and select Shipping schedule.
Choose a new frequency: 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, or 14 weeks.
Select Save.
Your new schedule applies to your next shipment. If you already have a shipment processing, it will still ship on the old schedule, and the new frequency takes effect starting with the shipment after that.
Get a shipment early with Buy Now
If you're running low before your next scheduled shipment, you can request an order right away instead of waiting or placing a separate manual order.
Log in to your Vetster account.
Go to Prescriptions (or the Pharmacy tab on the mobile app) and select Manage Autoship.
Find the medication and select Ship my next order now.
Your order ships immediately, and your Autoship schedule resets from that date. For example, if you're on a 4-week schedule and use Buy Now on July 1, your next Autoship shipment will be scheduled for July 29.
Buy Now only appears when the item is eligible for immediate purchase. It won't show if refills aren't available yet under your vet's prescription instructions, or if the item is temporarily out of stock.
Renew a prescription
When your last refill ships, you'll see a Renew prescription screen explaining that a follow-up appointment is required before your medication can continue.
From the Autoship screen, select Renew prescription.
Book a follow-up appointment. If your original vet is available, you'll be able to book with them again. If not, you'll be matched with another licensed vet.
Once your vet writes a new prescription, you can set up Autoship again for that medication.
A vet visit is required to renew a prescription because vets need to reassess your pet before prescribing more medication — this is a legal requirement in most regions, not a Vetster policy choice.
Cancel your Autoship order
If you want to stop automatic refills, you can cancel your Autoship order at any time.
Cancelling Autoship stops all future shipments. If you want to restart automatic refills later, you'll need to set up a new Autoship order.
Log in to your Vetster account.
Go to Prescriptions (or the Pharmacy tab on the mobile app) and select Manage Autoship.
Find the medication with an active Autoship order and select Cancel Autoship.
Confirm your cancellation when prompted.
Your Autoship order is now cancelled. You won't be charged or receive further shipments for this medication.
