How can I get my prescription filled? (US)

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Many prescriptions can be filled right within the Vetster app through our integrated VetsterRx pharmacy. If your veterinarian has added a prescription to your appointment and you wish to have it filled at a local or outside pharmacy, you can start a prescription send request directly from the Vetster mobile app. Read below for step-by-step instructions! Additionally, you can manage and track your pet’s prescriptions after they have been sent, making it easier to address any post-send management processes.

  1. Log into the Vetster mobile app and select the Pharmacy tab at the bottom of the screen. Then select the prescription(s) you’d like to fill and tap Continue.

  2. Select whether you’d like to pick up at a local pharmacy, order from an online pharmacy, or need help finding a pharmacy.

  3. Next, enter your pharmacy’s contact details and confirm your request.

  4. Our support team will process your request and contact you should we need to discuss any details. You’ll receive a notification once your request has been completed! After the prescription has been faxed to the pharmacy, allow 20–30 minutes for the pharmacy to process it. If you do not hear back within this time, consider giving the pharmacy a call to confirm receipt and status of the prescription.

Please note that there is a service fee for prescription send requests. This fee helps cover the costs of coordinating between your vet, the pharmacy, and our support team to efficiently fill your prescription. Should you need any further assistance with your prescription, please contact our Customer Experience team. If you find that the pharmacy has not received or cannot locate the prescription, ask them to check again using details such as your pet’s name, birthdate, or your contact information. If still unresolved, please contact our support team to resend the prescription.
