Updated over 2 weeks ago

If your veterinarian has added a prescription to your appointment, you can start a prescription send request directly from the Vetster mobile app. Read below for step-by-step instructions! Vetster offers the convenience of sending prescriptions to local or online pharmacies, with updates provided through the app and via email once the request is completed.

  1. Log into the Vetster mobile app and select the Pharmacy tab at the bottom of the screen. Then select the prescription you’d like to fill.

  2. Select whether you’d like to pick up at a local pharmacy, order from an online pharmacy, or need help finding a pharmacy.

This fee helps cover the costs of coordinating between your vet, the pharmacy, and our support team to efficiently fill your prescription. Frequently Asked Questions

Can Vetster send prescriptions to local pharmacies?

Yes. You can have your pet’s prescription sent to any pharmacy of your choice, as long as the medication can be filled at a human pharmacy. However, we recommend confirming with the pharmacy that your prescribed medication is available.

What should I do if I want to redirect a prescription to another pharmacy?

If you wish to change the pharmacy specified on your send request, please contact our Support team as soon as possible.

Why can’t I receive a direct copy of my prescription?

Due to the inclusion of sensitive veterinary information, prescriptions are sent directly to the pharmacy instead of clients. It is also a common requirement by many pharmacies that prescriptions be sent directly from the prescriber.
