Navigate the updated Vetster for Vets app

The Vetster for Vets app has been updated with a new look and a cleaner way to manage your practice on the go. This article walks you through what's changed, where to find everything, and what to expect.

What's new

The updated app focuses on giving you a fast, clear view of your schedule — wherever you are. A few workflows, like joining appointments and managing your availability, now open in your browser instead of the app. This lets Vetster roll out improvements faster and keep your experience consistent across mobile and desktop.

Note: In-app notifications are coming soon. You'll continue to receive SMS and email notifications as usual.


Sign in to the app

  1. Open the Vetster for Vets app.

  2. On the Log in or sign up screen, enter your email address and tap Continue.

  3. Choose how you want to sign in:

    • Enter the one-time code sent to your phone (new — no password needed)

    • Tap Continue with Google, Continue with Facebook, or Continue with Apple

Note: If you don't receive your one-time code, tap Log in manually on the code entry screen to sign in with your password instead.

What you'll see: Your home screen, showing your current appointments and anything that needs your attention.


Understand the home screen

The Home screen gives you an at-a-glance view of what needs attention right now. It's organized into two sections:

  • Action required — Appointments waiting on a response from you, with a count showing how many need attention

  • Upcoming appointments — Confirmed appointments, including any that are ready to join

Note: If your account is still being reviewed, you'll see a banner with a link to the web app so you can complete your profile while you wait.


Manage your appointments

Tap Appointments in the bottom navigation bar to see a full view of your schedule, organized across four tabs:

  • All — Every appointment in one place

  • Action required — Incomplete or unconfirmed appointments that need your attention

  • Upcoming — Confirmed, unconfirmed, or ready-to-join appointments

  • Past — Completed, incomplete, and cancelled appointments

Each appointment shows the pet's name, species, age, weight, and consultation type at a glance.

Note: Appointments marked Ready to join will take you straight into the video call when you tap them.


Join a video appointment

  1. Find your appointment in the Upcoming tab or the Action required section on your home screen.

  2. Tap the appointment to open it.

  3. Tap Join to start the video call. The call opens in your browser.

Note: When you're redirected to your browser, you'll stay signed in — no need to log in again.


Update your availability

Your availability settings have moved to the Settings tab.

  1. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Tap Manage availability — it's the first option listed.

  3. Your availability opens in your browser, where you can update it as usual.


View your earnings and payouts

  1. Tap Settings in the bottom navigation bar.

  2. Tap Go to web settings.

  3. Your earnings and payout details are fully available there.
