You can send a direct message to your vet for up to 48 hours after an appointment has been completed. You can follow up to ask questions directly related to the care received. Both vets and clients will receive an email notification when a new direct message is received. Additionally, notifications will appear directly in your Vetster account through the app’s notification center. In some cases, you may also receive a text message if the response is relayed through the Vetster support team.
To send a direct message, follow the steps below:
1. Log into your Vetster account
2. On the left side menu under Dashboard select Appointments, then Past Appointments
3. Scroll down the page to the Appointment Notes section, and on the right-hand side select Add entry
4. Click Direct Message, write your message and hit send!
Notification Methods and Response Locations
Vetster uses multiple channels to notify you when your veterinarian responds to your note or prescription request:
Email Notifications: You will receive an email notification when the veterinarian responds to your note or updates your prescription.
App Notifications: Notifications will appear directly in your Vetster account. These can be accessed through the app’s notification center.
Text Messages: If the response is relayed through the Vetster support team, you may receive a text message with the details. Once notified, you can locate the veterinarian’s reply in the following areas:
Direct Messages: Replies from your veterinarian will appear in your direct messages within the Vetster app.
Appointment Threads: For prescription refill requests or notes related to a specific appointment, the reply will be visible in the appointment thread. Open the past appointment with the vet and check the notes section. The response will appear directly above the note or message you left.
Response times to messages or notes may vary depending on the veterinarian’s schedule and current appointments. While there is no guaranteed timeframe, most veterinarians aim to reply as soon as they are available. If it is after the 48 hour window, please contact ou support team for further assistance. If you don’t see a response after a reasonable period, follow these steps:
Check Notifications: Review your Vetster account notifications and email inbox for updates.
Contact Support: If you still don’t see a response, reach out to Vetster support for assistance. They can help verify if a reply has been sent or provide further guidance.
